The 2009 World Recycling Convention and Exhibition that the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) is organizing at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, May 25-27, is promising to be yet another successful event of the international recycling body, according to a BIR press release.
The BIR convention is likely to attract more than 700 businesspeople. So far, 400 delegates have registered, with the deadline for the ‘early-bird’ discount and convention hotel accommodation approaching on March 23rd, show organizers say.

For the moment, one workshop has been set up that will focus on credit insurance. The topic has gained enormous importance since the beginning of the global crisis with many companies struggling with their local banks to keep receiving the credits necessary for their daily business, according to the BIR. During this workshop, an interesting panel of speakers will discuss specific aspects of interest to the recycling community, show organizers say.
With more than 30 stands, the exhibition is amongst the larger ones the BIR has organised so far and most of it is already sold out, the press release says.
