The Bureau of International Recycling has announced that its Nonferrous Division has completed its program for the presentation at the upcoming fall conference.
Marc Natan, president of BIR’s Nonferrous Metals Division, will have a focused regional market report that will be represented by the various board members.
According to the BIR, current market conditions require an in-depth and detailed analysis not only of the individual world regions but also of the different metals. To this end, other experts will be invited to participate in the market assessment.
The Non-Ferrous Metals Division is also organizing a Workshop on Sorting Techniques for Mixed Metals Oct. 25th. The workshop will focus on hand or color sorting techniques. Moderator for the program will be Andy Wahl from Newell Recycling of Atlanta Inc., and panel participants include David Chiao from Uni-All Group Ltd, Mike Bevan from Separation Systems Engineering GmbH, and Leen Visser from Huron Valley Europe.
A Q&A session will give participants the opportunity to ask specific questions and to comment on their own experience with the different metal sorting techniques.
The BIR Fall Conference is slated for Oct. 25-26 in Dublin, Ireland. More information on the program may be obtained by contacting BIR at www.bir.org.
