The Bureau of International Recycling is offering members who attend the annual BIR Spring Convention a special workshop on conducting business with the fast growing Asian country.
The workshop will be held May 27th. It is being called “Recycling in China.” The move to add the program is in recognition of the growing importance that China represents in the world economy. The BIR Convention will be held May 26-28 in Oslo, Norway.
The workshop will include a host of representatives from various Chinese organizations, including representatives of the Chinese Scrap Iron and Steel Association and of the China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association. Delegates from the paper recycling industry will also be present.
The purpose of the workshop is to inform BIR delegates on future raw material needs as well as legislative issues and to give them the opportunity to address topics of concern or interest regarding existing or future commercial dealings with China.
For further information on the workshop or the BIR Spring meeting contact Elisabeth Christ, BIR Communications Director, at info@bir.org.
