The Brussels-based Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) has confirmed it will hold its first in-person event since 2019 when it hosts the BIR Global Trading Forum Oct. 25-26 in Brussels
“After more than a year of virtual get-togethers, let’s all meet again in-person to rekindle business conversations, reconnect, share social experiences and have fun,” writes the organization in a July 22 email to its members.
At the start of the year, BIR Director General Arnaud Brunet stated he was working toward ensuring the association’s members would be able to meet in person before the end of 2021.
The October 2021 event is slightly rebranded from the former BIR Autumn Convention. Regarding the new event, the BIR writes, “The focus will be put on trading and networking, with a framework program [that] features a special edition of ‘The Challenge’ as [its] centerpiece.”
Registrations for the BIR Global Trading Forum, to be held at the Steigenberger Wiltcher's Hotel in Brussels, will open beginning Sept. 25, says the association.
