The Bureau of International Recycling announced that the second session of the International Symposium on aluminum and aluminum recycling, to be chaired by Larry Sax, immediate past president of the BIR Non Ferrous Metals Division, aims at examining more closely the various occurrences of aluminum, primary, secondary and recycled.
Werner Stelzer, vice-president and director of Alcan inc., Switzerland, will give a presentation on the production and characteristics of rolled aluminum semis. Stelzer, an Austrian national, looks back at a wealth of experience in the aluminum industry. He is also a member of the executive team of the automotive market group of the European aluminum association EAA, as well as a long-serving board member of the European research association for metal forming in Hannover.
A more detailed insight into profiles will be given by Lage Knutsson, technical coordinator of SAPA Technologies, Sweden.. Knutsson has been with Sapa since 1963 dealing with activity fields such as research work on corrosion technology and surface treatment as well as development work on rolled products like can body stock and braze clad aluminum.Latest from Recycling Today
