BioHiTech Global Inc., Chestnut Ridge, New York, says it has expanded its relationship with Flexi Systems (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. to act as a distributor of BioHiTech systems in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Flexi Systems, an affiliate company of Enerprof Pte Ltd., now has “an exclusive multi-year agreement to continue distribution of [the] Eco-Safe Digester and BioHiTech Cloud solution” in those three nations, according to a BioHiTech news release.
BioHiTech describes itself as a green technology company that “provides innovative data-driven solutions for food waste disposal.”
Says Owen Yeo, business development manager of Flexi Systems, “We believe that BioHiTech’s technology is not only cost-effective for our customers, but consistent with the efforts in Singapore to find environmentally efficient waste disposal options for businesses.” He continues, “We have only one landfill in Singapore at Pulau Semakau. Although all waste is incinerated prior to the ash being sent for landfilling, our offshore landfill still has limited capacity and will be full in the near future. We need to undertake innovative measures to deal with our waste. We plan to saturate the market with this advanced technology.”
Frank E. Celli, CEO of BioHiTech Global, comments, “We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Flexi Systems and view them as a valuable partner in the Southeast Asian market.”
Flexi Systems will be exhibiting BioHiTech’s product line at the Clean Enviro Summit, July 10-14, 2016, at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.
