Bulk Handling Systems, Inc., located in Eugene, Ore., has recently manufactured and installed two single-stream processing facilities on the West Coast. Oregon Recycling Systems, Portland, Ore., and West County Resource Recovery, Richmond, Calif., are currently processing 15 tons per hour, and 20-25 tons per hour, respectively.
Both systems incorporate screens for the mechanical separation of cardboard, newsprint, mixed paper, and fines. Clean, negatively sorted fiber commodities are achieved, resulting in a significant reduction in labor costs.
