The Bennington County Solid Waste Alliance (BCSWA), Vermont, has announced two free training sessions to facilitate compliance with Vermont’s Universal Recycling Act.
The business training session will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., while the transfer station operator training will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both sessions will be at the Arlington Inn, Arlington, Vermont.
Funded by BCSWA and a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)—Rural Development, this training is being offered to area businesses and transfer station operators in a two-part session. The New Hampshire-based Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA) will facilitate the training.
BSCWA towns include:
• Arlington;
• Bennington;
• Dorset;
• Glastenbury;
• Manchester;
• Pownal;
• Rupert;
• Sandgate;
• Searsburg;
• Shaftsbury;
• Stamford;
• Sunderland; and
• Woodford.
Transfer station operators from Rutland and Windham counties also are invited to attend.
