Benlee Introduces Super Mini

Super Mini allows recyclers to put underused trailers to work.

Benlee, Romulus, Mich., has introduced the Super Mini.

The Super Mini is designed to be as short as a roll-off truck, according to Benlee, but it can carry more weight and is more maneuverable.

When hooked to a tractor as short as a truck, the trailer is 25'11. The Super Mini offers better maneuverability than a truck and weighs in at only 13,500 pounds, according to Benlee. It can carry up to a 24-foot container.

“Frankly, it was not our idea to develop this roll-off truck replacement,” Greg Brown, president of Benlee, says. “One of our major customers realized his roll-off truck fleet was costing him a fortune in downtime vs. the flexibility of trailers. He asked us to develop a trailer that would do everything a roll-off truck would do, so we designed the Super Mini.”

Brown adds that the Super Mini is able to carry more weight than a three-axle truck, which cuts down on the number of trips recyclers have to make, saving fuel and maintenance costs.

He says, “Our customers now have a vehicle that can get into very tight spaces that roll-off trucks cannot get into, yet it can carry high payloads.”

The Super Mini and other Benlee trailers also can be rented by the week or month through Premier Truck Sales of Cleveland, according to Brown.
