Ben Weitsman of Allegany has announced $1 million in renovations to the company’s location at 34 W. Union St. in Allegany, New York, that will allow for further expansion and more efficient operations, according to the company.
The improvements include new equipment, repaving, new fencing and updated signage in addition to building repairs including painting and preventive maintenance.
“Each location is an integral part of our ability to provide the best possible retail and commercial scrapping experience for our customers and the communities we serve, which is why I prioritize keeping each and every yard in top condition,” Adam Weitsman, CEO of the company, says. “Efficient and up-to-date scrap yards are a key component of our business and are how we handle the significant tonnage of scrap metal that is processed by our locations each year.”
