BCD Electro of Dallas began in 1979 to buy and sell excess semiconductor inventory. Now, the company provides electronics recycling services for everything from computers to phone systems to routers, recycling precious, ferrous and nonferrous metals, circuit board scrap, plastic and paper.
"BCD Electro specializes in providing a service that assures the proper handling and disposal of electronic materials with the objective of optimizing recycling and reuse," according to a press release.
The company recycles what it receives "by separating the 'who’s who' of material components" within the electronics. The materials are gathered, shredded and sent to recycling facilities. For example, BCD staff sorts circuit boards by type, stripping re-salable parts and sending what remains to refiners for copper and precious metals recovery.
According to its Web site, BCD Electro's electronics recycling solutions include:
- Remarketing and asset management services;
- Support logistics for equipment deinstallation and removal;
- Guaranteed destruction;
- Data destruction; and
- Revenue generation through reconditioning and resale or material recovery.
| The company says that it can maximize returns on outdated electronics through its in-house marketing efforts and by using strategic partnerships. | |
