United Kingdom-based television network BBC Two has been broadcasting a six-episode series called “Scrappers,” which follows the fortunes of husband and wife scrap yard owners Terry and Lindsay Walker. The duo owns and manages the Metro Salvage scrap yard in Bolton, U.K.
A March 2016 episode of the series featured the Walkers traveling to Italy to research buying a shredding plant from Bano Recycling Srl, based in Campodarsego, Italy.
That episode, called “The Italian Job,” and others can be viewed on the BBC website.
According to Laura Minotto, an export sales and project manager with Bano, the episode also can be viewed on YouTube at this link.
Other episodes of the series broadcast in early 2016 have focused on safety training, hearing feedback from a management consultant, the job performance of the Walkers’ son and facing “burnout” from working long hours to manage the company.
