Switzerland-based conference organizer ICM AG has announced that the 2015 International Congress for Battery Recycling (ICBR) will take place Sept. 23 – 25 at the Hotel Fairmont Le Montreux Palace in Montreux, Switzerland.
ICBR is “recognized as the top conference in battery recycling technologies and marketing, where scientists, engineers, producers and recyclers meet to share their views and discuss their business,” says ICM.
More than 200 delegates from corporations, government agencies and academia are expected to attend. Presentations will be given on several topics, including:
• an update of battery legislation in the European Union and worldwide;
• safety issues and transportation regulations pertaining to batteries;
• recycling efficiency;
• the future of emerging and hybrid battery systems;
• the prospects for lithium-Ion batteries;
• reports from different nations on collection and recycling systems; and
• emerging and established technologies for battery recycling.
The ICBR also features an exhibition area with vendors of interest to the battery recycling sector, a cocktail reception and a networking dinner.
Also available in tandem with the event is a plant tour of a battery recycling facility operated by Batrec Industrie AG.
