The Battery Council International has launched a Web site dedicated to provide ongoing, up-to-date information on the lead acid battery industry and its applications.
"We are very excited to be able to contribute an additional resource to journalists, teachers, students and anyone else who is interested in learning about the myriad ways these batteries power our everyday lives," said Randy Hart, president of The Battery Council International, the trade association for the lead acid battery industry.
Among other things the new site discusses lead acid battery recycling, providing the latest statistics on recycling of the nation's most recycled consumer products.
"We hope that this site will be of use to anyone who is looking for current information on the lead acid battery and the contributions they make to our modern lives," Hart added.
