Balemaster, a manufacturer that has been involved in designing and manufacturing baling technology for more than 60 years, has introduced its newest product – the Fat Boy automatic horizontal auto tie baler. The baler incorporated advanced technology to boost throughput, making bales more valuable.
According to Balemaster, the Fat Boy machine combines both power and size, and outputs a bale that is 20 percent larger than other bales, the bale generated by this baler can weight in at close to 4,000 pounds, roughly three-quarters of a ton more than more conventional baling technology, said King Kelso, president of JMK Fibers, Tacoma, Wash.
The powerful hydraulic system and the oversized charging chamber are the key reasons for the Fat Boy balers’ increased output and high capacity performance. Delivering more than 461,500 pounds of compression force to the baling process the baling ram puts more material like OCC or ONP into a bale.
Benefits to MRFs and OCC recyclers are obvious and can include significant increases in daily throughput to reduction in operating costs like wire costs, in-plant handling and storage as well as transportation and logistics costs.
More information on the system may be obtained by contacting Michael Connell, Balemaster’s national sales manager, at (219) 663-4525, email: mikeconnell@balemaster.com.
