BACE (Baler and Compaction Equipment), a Charlotte, N.C.-based manufacturer of balers and compactors used in the recycling industry, has announced it has added to its executive staff in an effort to support its global growth strategy.
According to a company news release, Matt Hatfield has been appointed president and Tom Fahrland has been named national sales director.
Hatfield brings more than 15 years of manufacturing and customer experience to the company, according to the release. Prior to joining BACE, Hatfield was responsible for the growth and development of the southeastern region for a $200 million global manufacturing organization, the company says.
“Matt’s background in fabrications, supply management, international relations and quality control will bring an enhanced focus to our global growth strategy,” says Frederick Waite, chairman and CEO of BACE.
Fahrland has more than 20 years of experience in the waste management industry leading organizations’ growth initiatives and expanding product lines, according to the company. He will be responsible for expanding the BACE dealer network and its reach into the grocery and retail sectors. Fahrland has been an active member of ISRI, SWANA, Wastec and the Carolinas Recycling Association.
