According to Wendt Corp., Tonawanda, N.Y., when the scrap metal recycling firm Azcon Corp., Alton, Ill., decided to upgrade their existing non ferrous recovery plant to capitalize on the insulated copper wire market, they contacted Wendt for assistance.
Wade Schoeneweis, an Azcon representative, notes that the company investigated all the options currently available and determined there was a clear choice to meet the company’s needs.
“The Wendt / TiTech Poly Finder was the next logical step in the expansion of Azcon Corp.’s two line nonferrous plant. The equipment was ordered, installed and is now producing a high grade, finished insulated copper product five months after we placed our order. When it comes to installing a complete turnkey ferrous plant or just expanding a nonferrous plant, Wendt Corporation is the industry leader,” Schoeneweis says.
The upgraded non ferrous plant includes two Wendt/TiTech Finders featuring the new Suppix technology sensing coils and shape recognition software, along with the Wendt/TiTech PolyFinder.
