Axion International, New Providence, N.J., has signed a contract manufacturing agreement with Coll Materials, headquartered in Zanesville, Ohio, that will provide expanded manufacturing capacity for Axion’s industrial building products and railroad ties made from 100 percent recycled plastics. Coll Materials’ Waco, Texas, plant will provide the additional manufacturing capacity. (Coll Materials was profiled in the June 2011 issue of Recycling Today.)
Coll Materials processes post-consumer and post-industrial scrap plastics, including high-density polyethylene, polypropylene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, thermoplastic polyolefin, polyethylene terephthalate and other engineered resins.
