Axion International Holdings Inc. (AXIH), a Zanesville, Ohio-based manufacturer of recycled plastic and plastic composite technologies, has appointed Claude Brown Jr. chief operating and technology officer.
Brown, with more than 22 years of experience in the development, commercialization and manufacturing of innovative building materials, will manage and promote the operations for all of AXIH’s product lines, including Ecotrax composite rail ties and Struxure building material lines, as well as AXIH’s subsidiary, Axion Recycled Plastics Inc.

Prior to joining AXIH, Brown served as president of Eovations LLC, a new business venture focused on the development, production and launch of an innovative structural polymer technology which he spun-out of Dow Chemical.
