Axion International, a manufacturer of structural products that use recycled plastics, based in New Providence, N.J., has added two executives to strengthen its management team. The company has named Dave Crane its new executive vice president of Building Products, and the company announced that Randy Hall has joined the company as director of quality management.
In announcing the positions, Axion points out that the hiring of Crane is part of the company’s strategy to penetrate the construction application and building industry. Hall’s position will be used as the Axion expands its capacity to meet growing demand in the building sector.
“I’m very excited to announce these additions to Axion’s management team,” says Steve Silverman, Axion’s president. “Dave Crane will help define and develop Axion’s continued growth into new markets, while Randy Hall will help insure that Axion’s long time commitment to quality continues to keep pace with the company’s growth.”
Silverman adds, “With the growth of our railroad business evolving nicely, it is time for us to systematically expand our focus on the infrastructure construction market. Dave has an extensive background in bringing new technology products to this space and has not only run product development cycles, he has been actively involved in establishing the supply chain and business development activities for these products. The building and construction industry segments represent growth opportunities for Axion and Dave’s hiring should signify that we are pursuing those avenues of growth.”
