The Tenth International Automobile Recycling Congress will be held in Basel, Switzerland, from March 3-5.
The meeting will look at all aspects of the automobile recycling industry. A key aspect of the congress will be a look at ways to reduce the waste from recycled vehicles and the recovery of components poses both environmental and market challenges throughout the European Union. The IARC will examine this issue as well as policies and regulations that affect End-of-Life Vehicle recycling.
The first two days of the conference will include discussions and speakers from the industry and the European Commission. The third day is reserved for visits to a battery recycling plant, a hazardous waste landfill site, a car shredder and shredder fluff recycling plant, among other locations.
