India-based Athena Executive Search & Consulting has announced that it has placed Kiran Karnik as the first independent director with Attero Recycling, an Indian-based electronics recycling company that is backed by a number of venture capital firms.
Karnik was the president of NASSCOM until 2008. During his time with NASSCOM, a trade organization seeking to facilitate business and trade in software and services and to encourage advancements in software technology research, Karnik worked closely with the electronics industry and the Indian central and state governments to formulate policies and strategies for the advancement of the IT industry in India as well as internationally.
