Atlas Metal & Iron Corp., Denver, has announced three new corporate officers. Robert Simms has been appointed to the position of vice president; Beth Rosen has been appointed to the position of secretary; and Robert Wombacher has been appointed to the position of treasurer.
Robert Simms, who had previously been secretary/treasurer, joined the firm in 1977 after graduating from Miami University (Ohio). In his 31 years with the company, he has served as secretary/treasurer as well as director of nonferrous trading. Simms has also served as Chapter President of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI).
Beth Rosen previously director of human resources, joined Atlas in 1987 after having worked for Central Bank Corp. in Denver. In her 21 years with the company, she has served as director of transportation and director of human resources.
Robert Wombacher, who previously served and will continue to serve in the capacity of controller, joined the firm in 1990 after graduating from the University of Idaho.
Atlas Metal & Iron Corp. is an industrial scrap metal processing and recycling facility employing approximately 150 people. It was founded by Don Rosen and Ben Rosen in 1956 and operates two divisions including Atlas Metal & Iron Corp. (scrap processing and wire granulation) and Atlas Metal Sales (a nonferrous service center).
