A recycling incentive program offered by Recycling Perks, Chesapeake, Virginia, will be offered in Atlanta starting in September 2015.
In a notice on its website, Recycling Perks says “residents will be rewarded for recycling with points that they can exchange for discounts from local establishments around town.”
Atlanta residents are being invited by the company to enroll for their free Recycling Perks account. “Key in the serial number on your recycling container within your Recycling Perks account dashboard, recycle on your collection day, earn 25 points automatically every time you recycle [and] then trade in earned points for any of the discounts on the Recycling Perks Shop Rewards page,” states the company.
The company also is inviting retailers and other businesses in and around Atlanta to participate in the program. Companies interested in offering coupons or other discounts can go to this link to find out more.
According to RecyclePerks, Atlanta’s curbside recycling program accepts “household paper such as paper bags, telephone books, junk mail, magazines and catalogs, newspapers and inserts; office paper and file folders; aluminum and steel cans; plastic bottles and containers #1-7; and broken down cardboard such as cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, paperboard and shipping boxes.”
