Eriez to Introduce New Product at ISRI Show

Company says it has made a breakthrough in ASR processing.

Eriez, a separation systems manufacturer based in Erie, Pa., has announced a breakthrough in auto shredder residue processing equipment that it says will revolutionize metal recovery. The company says it will release the new product at the 2010 Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Annual Convention & Exhibition to take place in San Diego, May 4-8.

“There are certain stages of the metal recovery process that, to date, have only been ‘good enough,’” says Tim Shuttleworth, president and CEO of the company. “Without a more efficient means of recovery, processors have had to accept reduced revenue – but no longer.”

Eriez says its new machine will be able to capture a portion of the waste stream that had previously been allowed to pass, or had to be hand-sorted.

“We’re hoping that everyone comes to the ISRI show to see the unveiling of the machine but also to witness the performance of Eriez’ other advances in separation technology,” says Shuttleworth.
