Appliance Recycling Centers of America Inc., (ARCA), headquartered in Minneapolis, has promoted Bradley Bremer to the newly created position of president of ApplianceSmart Inc. Bremer had previously served as vice president of ARCA’s retail operations since February 2007.
In his new position, Bremer will be responsible for directing all aspects of the company, including the management of sales, marketing and operations for the company’s 20 stores in the Minnesota, Ohio, Georgia and Texas markets. Bremer also will oversee the planning and development of new ApplianceSmart stores, as well as customer programs and services.
Edward Cameron, ARCA president and CEO, says, “Since he joined ARCA 12 years ago, Brad has been instrumental in the continuing development of the ApplianceSmart superstore concept. At that time, we operated four ApplianceSmart stores in two markets and sold scratch-and-dent appliances we received from one appliance manufacturer. Under Brad’s direction, we have expanded our retail network to 21 ApplianceSmart locations and are ranked as the 25th largest appliance retailer in the U.S., according to TWICE magazine.”
