Fort Lauderdale-based ARC Broward IT Asset Recovery has announced that it has succeeded in maintaining its Responsible Recycling (R2) Practices:2013, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications after an auditing process.
Most recently, ARC Broward’s IT Asset Recovery business has shifted its focus toward refurbishment and reuse of electronics with a goal to extend the life of products and keep them out of the waste stream. The company makes refurbished electronics more accessible and affordable to a wider range of consumers, mostly through its eBay store.
“We are proud to be providing responsible refurbishment, reuse and recycling services that align with these incredibly rigorous standards,” says ARC Broward President and CEO Dennis Haas. “This is yet another step in our commitment to our customers, the environment and the students in our on-site employment training program.”
Boulder, Colorado-based SERI manages the R2 Standard. Orion Registrar Inc., Arvada, Colorado, performed the audit of ARC Broward's operations.
