China’s state General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection Quarantine and the State General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection Quarantine announced that it is again accepting applications for companies who are interested in obtaining licenses to ship recyclables to China.
The new time frame for applying for permit began Aug. 1.
Parties interested in applying for the license are required to follow the following form: “List of Application Materials of Registration of An Overseas Supplier Enterprise of Importing Scrap Materials” (to be downloaded from “Concerns for Hot Spots” on the website http://www.aqsiq.gov.cn “
More information on applying may be obtained by contacting the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries at www.isri.org.
According to ISRI, applications may be sent by mail, courier or delivered in person to AQSIQ, which is the only office authorized to issue a registration number. DHL and UPS provide reliable service to Beijing. Applications may be neither faxed nor e-mailed. Applications must be submitted in Chinese or bilingually in Chinese and English. If submitted in Chinese and English, the application must include complete responses in Chinese. There are no registration or application fees.
