Pro-Line Buckets & Grapples of Houston, and Hawco Manufacturing Co. LLC, Slaughter, La., have merged to form a larger clamshell bucket and grapple-manufacturing firm. The new company will be called Anvil Attachments, choosing an existing Pro-Line brand as its corporate name.
Anvil Attachments will continue to provide parts, service and the engineering of new units under the names Anvil, Pro-Line and Hawco, Owen, Yaun, Williams and Drott. These product lines combined offer a broad array of attachments for cable, hydraulic, and electro-hydraulic operated units.
According to Anvil director of sales and marketing Larry A. Carlisle, the company has manufacturing and engineering experience that dates back to 1906. He says Anvil Attachments will continue to provide quality products at a fair price, as its predecessor companies have been doing for almost a century.
The newly combined company is operating from a sales and engineering office in Houston and a manufacturing facility with its ISO 9001 certification for process and design in Slaughter, La. Attachments made by the firm are sold into the scrap recycling, demolition, construction and bulk material handling markets.
Anvil also has several product alliances that allow it to offer other products, including separating technology and lifting devices created by the German firm Steinert. These products are available through Anvil's sister company Resource Recycling LLC, St. Petersburg, Fla.
Another alliance with RadComm Systems, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, is allowing Anvil to offer a scrap grapple with a radiation detector mounted within. According to Carlisle, Anvil will design its grapples so they can be easily retrofitted to include a radiation detector at a later date.Latest from Recycling Today
