The equipment company Group Andritz, based in Austria, has received an equipment order from S.A. Industrias Celulosa Aragonesa (SAICA) for the company’s paper mill in El Burgo de Ebro, Spain.

The El Burgo mill complex has three paper machines with a combined production capacity of close to 1.3 million tonnes of finished product per year.
Andritz, which supplies equipment, systems and services to the paper and forest products industry, will supply the El Burgo de Ebro mill with a FibreFlow drum FFD, which includes a complete feeding and dewiring system, for a new OCC line that SAICA installed at the mill. In a news release, Andritz says its pulping system ensures the user a high fibre yield from various recovered fibre streams as well as reliable operation.
The scope of the supply includes complete erection, startup and commissioning and training. Startup of the new system is scheduled for September 2017.
SAICA has four mills and has an annual production of 2.5 million short tons. The company is primarily a producer of recycled paper for the corrugated cardboard market.
