Amwaste, a West Point, Georgia-based waste and recycling company, has announced the acquisition of Waste Away Environmental LLC, a Milledgeville, Georgia-based company that provides residential, commercial and industrial waste collection services to the growing communities of Milledgeville and Dublin, Georgia, and surrounding counties.
The acquisition also includes two municipal solid waste (MSW) transfer stations as well as a highly automated material recovery facility (MRF).

The acquisition is Amwaste’s fifth since 2023, further expanding the company’s geographical presence and services offered in the rapidly growing Georgia market.

Amwaste provides waste management and recycling solutions in Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana, with a wide range of services including residential collection, landfill stewardship, community-focused sustainability programs and industrial and commercial waste and recycling services.
