Pittsburgh-based metals recycling and production firm AMG Resources Corp. has promoted Conor O’Brien to vice president, international markets
In his new position, O’Brien will have responsibility for managing AMG’s export sales of ferrous scrap and downstream shredder commodities.
O’Brien also will retain his domestic trading responsibilities and will continue to work out of AMG’s Newark, New Jersey, location.
O’Brien has been with AMG since 2013 and previously served as regional trading manager for AMG’s northeast region.
AMG Resources and its affiliate companies operate 20 scrap processing facilities and 18 trading offices in the United States and have a facility and office in Wales in the United Kingdom. Earlier this month, the company announced its acquisition of ferro-alloys producer Galt Alloys of Canton, Ohio.
