American Tissue Mill Closing

American Tissue mill permanently closed its Menasha, Wis., tissue mill.

The mill has been operating under a cloud since its parent firm filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last Sept. 10.

The company resumed full tissue production in the months since and even bolster its ranks of papermakers slightly, but just this week was forced to lay off 61 production workers. Post Crescent
