In Phase One, taking place in May of this year, American Pulverizer will relocate its headquarters to a new two-story, 17,500-sq. ft. office in
Shipping and receiving for the company will be relocated to a larger location with approximately 35,000 square feet of inside storage space. New inventory control systems, storage racks, and material handling equipment will allow for faster delivery, says the company’s Chris Griesedieck. Three shipping bays are being added to expedite shipments and meet customer needs. Four additional material access doors will enable items to move through shipping and receiving without delays, according to the company.
By November of this year, in Phase Two, American Pulverizer will have completed a 32,000 square foot addition to its existing manufacturing facility. The addition will house a variety of new CNC boring mills, lathes, and machining centers to ensure quality and quick turn around. The crane capacity at the site is also going to be upgraded.
In Phase Three, the American Pulverizer Co. (APCO) fabrication shop will be expanded by approximately 12,000 square feet for improved material flow and added efficiency. This expansion project is targeted for completion by 2009.
