AMCS Group US (formerly PC Scale), a provider of end-to-end software and on-vehicle technology, has announced the acquisition of Danish-based route optimization technology company Transvision. With this acquisition, AMCS Group expands its product portfolio to include a route optimization system and grows its staff to more than 260 employees globally.
AMCS Group CEO Jimmy Martin says, “AMCS Group is a world-leading provider of transport management systems and on-vehicle technology solutions. With the acquisition of Transvision, we are taking our product offerings to the next level by adding an extensive suite of route optimization and scheduling systems to our product portfolio. Transvision’s advanced software suite will also be made an integral part of our Tower software system, to form a seamless experience for our customers.”
Martin adds that AMCS Group has worked with Transvision as a reseller, finding that the company offers a “best-in-class” solution to route optimization and scheduling systems.
He continues, “Together with Transvision’s products, we will be able to deliver a comprehensive solution to encompass customer service management, order-tracking, route and waste planning, route optimization, mobility, weighing, tracking, billing and much more.”
Transvision Managing Director and founder Ole Kessel says, “We have worked with AMCS for some years now and we know and trust each other. I feel that the acquisition is a step in the right direction for our customers, employees and business partners.”
Kessel will remain as managing director in Transvision for an unspecified time, he adds, as well as all of Transvision’s shareholders and management team, who will continue in their current roles.
