AMCS names Exertis global supply chain partner

AMCS Group, an Ireland-based company providing ERP software and vehicle technology for the waste, recycling and resource industry, has appointed Exertis, a U.K.-based technology distributor and supply chain business, as its global supply chain partner. In line with AMCS Group’s expansion strategy, Exertis will manage AMCS’s international global supply chain.

Under terms of the agreement, Exertis, part of the DCC Group, will assume responsibility for the global delivery of all AMCS Group’s vehicle technology systems, preassembled and ready for installation.

Exertis says that it will use its experience to manage AMCS’ stock forecasting and control, warehousing, procurement, device configuration and testing.

Commenting on the deal, AMCS Group’s CEO Jimmy Martin says, “As our business continues its rapid international expansion, Exertis’ global reach and scale will ensure that we continue to deliver all our vehicle systems on-time-all-the-time. It will also enable us to remain focused on our core competencies of best-in-class software products for the waste and recycling sector.”

AMCS’ customer base spans 19 countries. The company says its partnership with Exertis will streamline and optimize its technology delivery across markets in Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand and China.

AMCS vehicle technology includes weighing, RFID and on-board computing which, when coupled with AMCS ERP software, delivers an end-to-end platform to enable waste and recycling operators manage their municipal, commercial & industrial, brokerage, hazardous and C&D services efficiently and profitably.
