AMCS Group, an Ireland-based supplier of integrated cloud-based software and vehicle technology for the waste and recycling industry, recently acquired London-based Selected Interventions and Australia-based Mandalay Technologies.
Selected Interventions has established a customer base across residential, commercial, industrial and municipal waste collection services. The company’s Echo Service Management Framework offers a solution for clients seeking waste management services. Supporting residential waste services for approximately 19 million residents worldwide, AMCS says Echo is recognized for its flexible planning, customer engagement and mobile workforce management capabilities.
“Selected Interventions and the Echo solution are a perfect complement to AMCS and our award-winning Performance Sustainability Suite,” AMCS co-founder and CEO Jimmy Martin says. “With Selected Interventions’ Echo solution, service providers streamline data capture, facilitate workflow mobilization and provide consistent management views. This acquisition enables us to deepen our relationships with our existing shared customers and expand our reach into new markets. Together with our Performance Sustainability Suite, we aim to deliver even greater value to our customers, empowering them to achieve their sustainability goals while driving profitability.”
AMCS says the addition of Selected Interventions reinforces AMCS’ solutions for the municipal sector, enabling local governments to operate waste management and recycling programs more efficiently, improve environmental outcomes and enhance community services.
“This is an exciting milestone for Selected Interventions,” Selected Intervention CEO Matt Brookes says. “AMCS’ global reach and focus on performance sustainability create opportunities to expand the impact of our Echo framework, helping more municipalities improve service delivery and environmental outcomes.”
AMCS also announced the acquisition of Mandalay Technologies, a provider of modular cloud-based weighbridge and data management solutions for the waste and recycling industry.
AMCS says this acquisition marks a milestone in its growth strategy, reaching a combined footprint of more than 360 team members in the region.
“Over one-third of Australia’s waste facilities rely on Mandalay Technologies’ cloud-based weighbridge and data management systems for their operations,” Martin says. “Together, Mandalay and AMCS can provide our customers in Australia with enhanced operational visibility, optimized workflows and leverage AI-driven analytics to improve efficiency, material quality and sustainability outcomes. This acquisition also expands our local team in Australia, enabling us to deliver faster, more tailored support to customers and help them operate smarter, greener and more profitably.”
Mandalay Technologies strengthens AMCS’ ability to support local governments and organizations with scalable data management solutions for waste and resource recovery operations, AMCS says.
“We’re incredibly pleased to partner with AMCS, a global leader that shares our commitment to innovation and sustainability,” Mandalay Technologies CEO Simon Kalinowski says. “The requirements of our customers when servicing community waste and recycling continues to grow, and with AMCS, we will be optimally positioned to significantly scale our solutions and leverage AMCS’ global expertise to enhance the value we provide our customers. We are particularly proud of the trust placed in us by our customers and believe that AMCS will continue to maintain that focus. Together, we can continue to support our customers across Australia and beyond, enhanced by AMCS and its Performance Sustainability Suite.”
With a combined 4,000 customers supported by more than 1,300 employees, AMCS says these acquisitions enhance its position as a partner for municipalities and waste and recycling organizations.
