Wise Alloys’ Muscle Shoals, Ala., facility is being acquired by a businessman with interests in a host of other industries.
According to local press reports David D'Addario recently purchased majority interest in the company from Jerry David, who purchased Reynolds Metals' longtime operation in April 1999.
D'Addario is president and chief executive officer of D'Addario Industries. The company, headquartered in Bridgeport, Conn., is involved in numerous businesses, including petroleum, real estate development, manufacturing, road construction, radio and television communications, solid waste landfills, equipment rental, commuter airlines, trucking, hotels and restaurants and hazardous waste processing.
A spokesman for D’Addario said that the actual acquisition is still pending, with minor details still needed to be completed. He expected to have official word by the end of this week.
