The Aluminum Association, Arlington, Va., has released the 2009 edition of it publication “Designations and Chemical Composition Limits for Aluminum Alloys in the Form of Castings and Ingot.”
The newly revised publication, commonly known as the “Pink Sheets,” supersedes the 2008 edition, says the group. New in this edition is a revised foreword outlining the modified registration rules and information on two new alloy designations and their associated chemical composition limits.
The “Pink Sheets” provides designations and chemical composition limits for more than 260 aluminum alloy castings and ingots registered with the Aluminum Association and also contains information on former designations and a list of previously registered – but currently inactive—alloys.
The document is available for purchase from the association’s online bookstore for $20 for members of The Aluminum Association and $40 for non-members. The online bookstore can be found at www.aluminum.org.
