The Aluminum Association has hired Joe Quinn as its new vice president of public affairs, effective July 15. Quinn’s responsibilities will include overseeing the association’s policy communications, advocacy strategies an
d media relations.
Prior to joining the Aluminum Association, Quinn served as vice president of the public relations firm Edelman, where he led public affairs and corporate reputation programs for Walmart, Toyota and the American Petroleum Institute, among others.
"Joe has a breadth of knowledge in communications and strategic public affairs, as well as experience inside Washington, and I’m glad to have him on board at the association," says Pat Franc, the Aluminum Association’s chairman and president of Tri-Arrows Aluminum. "I’m pleased that a committee of member companies participated in Joe’s selection and am very happy with where this process ended up."
