Altron has announced that it has been granted a Certificate of Environmental Achievement by R. Mitchel, an IC tray recycler. The certificate is awarded to companies that take proper measures to recycle the plastics used in the packaging and storing of electronic components. Altron’s program includes monitoring and supporting its suppliers in their recycling efforts.
“Altron strongly believes in protecting the environment and in being a good neighbor to it’s surrounding community,” Jim Merritt, Altron account manager, says. “We believe that quality extends beyond meeting the details of satisfying our customers, it also means paying attention to our environment, our community and to our employees. The receipt of this Environmental Achievement certificate shows that we do our part to help prevent recyclable items from ending up in the landfill, which also helps in preserving our natural resources.”
