Austrian-based plastic packaging company Alpla has announced the appointment of Andreas Reger as its general manager. Reger will be responsible for overseeing all activity at 17 U.S. manufacturing operations.
Reger comes to Alpla with 27 years of business leadership and development experience in the automotive, equipment manufacturing and injection molding industries. Philipp Lehner, the former North America general manager, has been appointed to Global CFO.
“We are quite pleased to welcome Andreas to Alpla,” Lehner states. “He brings a unique portfolio of growth and lean successes with the use of change management, strategy development and business diversification, both in his leadership roles and as an expert consultant. His background aligns well with our plans to expand beyond our already growing presence in the U.S. market.”
Throughout his career, Reger has held progressively responsible commercial and operations roles:
- President and CEO of Dürr Ecoclean.
- President of Pollmann North America, an Austrian-based supplier of injection and insert-molded components.
- Business segment manager of Siemens VDO/Continental AG.
Reger earned a Bachelor of International Business Administration from the Fachhochschule Wiesbaden, Germany, a master’s from Colorado State University and a Doctor of Business Administration from the Lawrence Technological University, Michigan.
