Alpine Waste & Recycling has announced that the city of Commerce City, Co., has designated the company as its 2010 “Small Business of the Year.”
The award was presented at the Economic Development Division’s Business/Investors Appreciation Event.
”We are proud to make our headquarters in Commerce City, and the location has certainly contributed to the success that made us eligible for this award,” says John Griffith, president of Alpine. “We know there are hundreds of good small businesses in Commerce City, and I want to thank the judges who considered us worthy for the distinction.”
The company adds that it was named a “2010 Colorado Company to Watch,” it was listed by the Denver Business Journal as the second-fastest growing company in its revenue class in the Denver area, and Griffith was named a Regional Finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition.
