The BucksMont division of Allied Waste Services has launched RecycleBank to 10,000 households in two counties in Pennsylvania: Bucks and Montgomery.
Republic Services, the parent company of Allied Waste, signed an agreement with RecycleBank in early August to jointly deploy RecycleBank services to one million households in the United States.
To start the program, Allied Waste delivered 96-gallon recycling carts to residents of the two counties.
“Allied Waste recognizes the value RecycleBank offers for the residents in BucksMont,” says Ed Whitworth, Allied Waste Services’ sales manager, in a press release announcing the program. “Recycling is an important component of Bucks and Montgomery County’s solid waste plans, and RecycleBank’s meaningful incentives will help to save resources, ensuring a greener future for our communities. And the best thing is, this program comes at no additional cost to residents; all they have to do is sign up with RecycleBank—it comes with our waste service.”
