Allied-Gator Inc., Youngstown, Ohio, has introduced the MT Series Multi-Tool model MTR 160, which weighs 44,000 pounds.
The tool will fit 215,000 pound and larger carriers second member and 300,000 pound and larger carriers third member.
The MTR 160 with the Shear Jaw Set delivers 2,100 tons of force and has a 42-inch jaw opening and a 42-inch throat depth.
The MT 160 Cracker/Crusher Jaw Set opens 73 inches and has a throat depth of 50 ½ inches.
The MTR 160 has 360 degrees of continual rotation and a cycle time of six seconds close and five seconds open at 225 gpm with Allied-Gator Speed Circuit Technology.
Allied-Gator’s patented Quick-Change Jaw Sets eliminate time-consuming shaft removal and never require hub adjustments, according to a news release from the manufacturer. Jaw sets can be switched in the field by the operator alone in as little as 15 minutes.
The MT Shear Jaw Set is used for processing heavy structural steel and scrap metal. It also features weld-on interchangeable Solid and Disposable Shear Tip options. The MT Cracker/Crusher Jaw Set processes reinforced concrete and heavy cast materials.
