Allegheny Shredders, Delmont, Pennsylvania, has announced that Evelyn Jefferson, vice president of sales, plans to retire after 30 years with the company. Allegheny Shredders manufactures industrial shredders.
“Evelyn, [also known as Shredder Mom by everyone at Allegheny], has been a pillar in the document destruction industry and will be missed by Allegheny and the shredding industry as a whole,” the company states in a news release on her retirement. “We wish Evelyn the best with her retirement, and she will be sorely missed.”
The company says it plans to move forward with the same commitment to excellence in customer service and equipment quality in Jefferson’s absence. According to Allegheny, Joe Barush and Sarah Lewey will step up as the company’s main sales representatives. Barush and Lewey worked under Jefferson for many years, and the company reports that they are excited to try to fill her role. Allegheny says to reach out to Barush at josephb@alleghenyshredders.com or Lewey at sarah@alleghenyshredders.com with any sales-related questions moving forward.
