Allegheny Shredders, Delmont, Pa., has introduced its newest shredder to its line of equipment. The Allegheny 12HD7.5 Hard Drive/E-Scrap Shredder can securely destroy hard drives, electronic scrap, optical media, mobile devices, laptops and other data-bearing media, the company says.
According to the company, the shredder’s 7.5-horsepower motor allows users to destroy two hard drives at one time.
Features of the hard drive shredder, according to Allegheny, include the following:
- Swift destruction of hard drives, server drives, mobile devices, electronics scrap, laptop (without batteries) and more;
- A compact, heavy-duty machine with a small footprint that can be mounted on casters for easy mobility;
- Opportunity for service providers and record information management (RIM) centers to add an additional, reliable income stream; and
- Flexible enough to be installed in a truck for mobile on-site destruction.
Allegheny also offers the 12HD20 shredder with a 20-horsepower motor. The shredder comes with an optional in-feed conveyor that allows the operator to dump a box of hard drives into the hopper at one time.
“We are continually building new equipment to meet anticipated requirements of the industry so you can stay confidently at the edge of your customers’ needs, and have the perfect solution to offer them right away,” says John Wagner, president and founder of Allegheny Shredders.
