Aleris International Inc. announced plans to resume limited operations at its Richmond, Va., rolling mill beginning in September 2010. The mill, which supplies aluminum coil for building and construction applications, was idled in February 2008 due to the continuing downturn in the North American building and construction industry.
Upon start up, the facility will operate one shift and is meant to provide capacity to other Aleris facilities to meet internal demand and support customer service levels.
