Aleris Files with SEC for Proposed IPO

Aluminum company plans to issue an initial public offering of its common stock.

Aleris Corp., headquartered in Beachwood, Ohio, has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in connection with a proposed initial public offering (IPO) of its common stock. The company says it has not yet determined the number of shares to be offered or the price range for the offering.

Aleris Corp. changed its name from Aleris Holding Co. prior to the filing of the registration statement.
Aleris is a leader in the production and sale of aluminum rolled and extruded products, recycled aluminum and specification alloy manufacturing. The company operates more than 40 production facilities in North America, Europe and Asia.
