Aleris International announced that it is permanently closing its specification alloys facility in Shelbyville, Tenn. The company expects to close the plant by the second quarter of this year.
Production will be transferred to other Aleris facilities in the area.
Aleris International, headquartered in Beachwood, Ohio, provides aluminum rolled products, extrusions, aluminum recycling and specification production. The company has a total of 48 production facilities, including locations in North America, Europe, South America and Asia.
